INGREDIENTS:

Blackfin Tuna

You can substitute meaty fish

i.e. yellowfin, mahi mahi, swordfish, Rainbow trout)

Cajun Seasoning Mix
-
1 tbsp paprika
-
½ tbsp cayenne pepper (add more for heat)
-
1 tbsp garlic powder
-
1 tbsp cumin
-
½ tbsp mustard powder
-
1 tbsp Mexican Seasoning (Tajin Brand)

Olive Oil for searing
-
Salt and pepper
-
*Optional Sauce (per serving)

1 ½ tbsp Mayonnaise can substitute Greek Yogurt
-
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
-
½-1 tbsp of fresh lemon juice
-
½ tbsp capers
-
INSTRUCTIONS:

Make Seasoning Mix in Advance
-
Rinse fish w/ fresh water
-
Use a paper towel to pat fish dry
-
Do a ‘dusting’ of salt and pepper all around the fish filet
-
Coat Large sized frying pan with olive oil
-
Heat Burner to a medium high heat
-
Coat the fish generously on all sides w/ the Cajun Seasoning Mix
-
As the oil begins to smoke turn down the heat to medium
-
Place Fish Filets in pan, sear for 3-4 minutes each side, or to preferred doneness
