About The Author

Clayton Skaggs, DC

Dr. Clayton Skaggs has spent his life helping people move beyond pain and limitation to discover what they’re truly capable of. As the founder of the Central Institute for Human Performance, the Karel Lewit Clinic, and Curious Gap Labs, his work bridges science and humanity, combining decades of clinical expertise with a deep belief in the power of awareness, movement, and mindset.

Guided early in his career by Czech neurologists Drs. Vladimir Janda and Karel Lewit, Dr. Skaggs learned that healing is both an art and a science; rooted in curiosity, listening, and connection. That perspective has shaped everything he’s built, from world-class performance programs to the principles in The Power of Doing What Matters.

Through his teaching, his book The Power of Doing What Matters, and his ongoing work with Curious Gap Labs, Dr. Skaggs continues to share the lessons he’s learned from a lifetime of practice: helping people everywhere build resilience, restore balance, and do what matters most.
